Things telling stories
Photographer Paula Zuccotti has created a project called “Everything we touch”. The artist has traveled all around the world asking people to gather the objects they had touched during the last 24 hours. The participants of this project were of different age, coming from diverse cultures and working in different spheres - from little boy living in Tokyo to a cowboy from Arizona (USA). With this project, the artist seeks to answer the following question: is it possible to understand the life a person leads judging purely out from the objects he/she touches on the daily basis? According to her, we know the past civilizations mainly from that - the foundings of archeologists (tools, cutlery, etc.) proved how the lifes of our ancestors looked like. And can the things tell such stories about us?
